From three days to seconds
A Python tool built from scratch to compare student and parent records across OpenApply, ManageBac and iSAMS, producing formatted discrepancy reports in PDF and Excel.

The problem
Separate support teams maintained student, parent and relationship data in three systems with different attributes. Comparing Excel exports in pairs took an experienced associate around three days or more. Incomplete inputs and follow-up with schools could extend the wider turnaround.
My contribution
I built the reconciliation tool from scratch, using AI as a brainstorming partner. It accepted system access or exported data, compared records across all three platforms, and produced discrepancy reports with colour formatting, legends and summaries in PDF and XLSX. I cross-checked the results manually with teammates and my manager.
The outcome
The comparison work that took around three days manually ran in a few seconds with the tool. All results checked by our team matched the manual workflow, and the tool often identified additional discrepancies.
